Adaptive Environmental Pest Solutions strives to provide clients every options to not choose chemicals as the only solutions. While not all chemical applications are automatically “bad”, drawing down the amount we put around our homes, workplaces and the environment in general is a good thing. Read our building inspecting options and programs below that reduce or eliminate the need for chemical controls.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Integrated Pest Management or IPM is a solutions method that was originally outlined by the US Environmental Protection Agency in 1972. IPM has been added to and expanded upon in the subsequent years. This is the overall direction of the pest control industry. AEPS wants to provide this methodology to our clients.
An IPM Program is a series of thorough building inspections using standard inspection practices with traps and monitoring devices placed in key locations. Pest populations are monitored over time as well as building/home maintenance practices by the owner. Written reports are generated with accompanying images and video to clearly explain what, when, where, why & how is happening around the property. Solutions are then applied to reduce the pest populations or completely eliminate them if they are dangerous. These solutions range from Exclusion (mechanical barriers keeping pests out of areas), Physical Modifications (changes in lighting, drainage, ventilation, et cetera), Cultural Controls (sanitation, removal of harborage & health of ornamental plants) & limited, localized chemical applications with pest specific (selective) pesticides only when needed. This methodology requires it to be tailored to the clients unique situation. Please contact us for more information and pricing estimates.
wood destroying insect inspection report (wdiir)
The WDIIR is a legal document in the State of Arizona. Its only use is for a state licensed professional to communicate the evidence or absence of evidence regarding Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO) and their conducive conditions on the day it was written. These are usually a loan requirement by the lending institution for most property loans in Arizona. AEPS does provide these reports. They are time intensive & require AEPS to log them with the Department of Agriculture in Arizona when complete. Feel free to contact us if you are a buyer or Realtor for more information and pricing.
pre real estate inspections
If you are a home or commercial building seller, we provide pre real estate inspections. These inspection are designed to inform you on things a licensed inspector will note in and around your structure. This allows the seller to get ahead of building repairs, dealing with previously unknown WDO infestations, and preventative maintenance that will be expected during the property sale inspection period. If you do not have these areas in order when you enter a contract for sale, they can seriously slow the sale process and even prevent the sale from going through. Contact us for information and pricing.
